Just Do It.

Happy Friday! There are some days when you feel like dressing up and then there are days like this when you just don't. We all have those days, right? When I'm feeling like that, my go to outfit is a t-shirt, jeans, and my trusty Vans. There's really nothing more comfortable than that. Also, a good ponytail doesn't hurt. What are your go to outfits when you don't feel like dressing up?

What I'm wearing:
A Nike shirt
Jeans from a local boutique
Vans shoes

Thanks for reading and have an amazing weekend...

Chasing Summer...

I'm going to miss the days when its warm enough to throw on a pretty summer dress and sandals. I'm literally chasing summer and holding on these warm and sunny days. I love finding new ways to style my favorite denim shirt and I think pairing it with a dress I've had forever, gives it a whole new look. As I've said before, denim shirts are so versatile and an essential in my wardrobe. Seriously one of the best purchases I've ever made. I'm obsessed with this summer look. Here's to summer and not wanting it to end.

What I'm wearing:
Forever 21 shirt
Wal-Mart dress
Payless shoes
Dooney and Bourke purse

Thanks so much for reading and have a good day!

changes

Happy Monday! I'm here to give you another dose of inspiration. This week's theme is all about change. I thought this would be a great theme because I'm currently going through some changes in my life, being back in school is a major one. I do not do great with change. I may even go as far as saying that I do not like change at all. I'm the kind of person that likes for things to be one way and for them to stay that way. But as I've gotten older, I've realized that change is a part of life. In order to grow, you have to change, things have to change. It's important to know that change can be a good thing and I've learned to sort of go with the flow. That being said, I'm still not 100% percent over my change phobia, but I'm trying. I hope these quotes will help you and inspire you to accept change as a positive part of life.

white t-shirt loving...

It's Friday! Welcome back to my blog. Today's post is of an outfit that brought out my bohemian side. This look is totally giving me boho vibes and I'm not mad at it. Let's have a closer look.

For this look, I paired one of my favorite maxi skirts with a white t-shirt. I for one am all about the white t-shirt. You can make it dressy, casual, and anything in between. It's such a staple item and in my everyday life, I reach for it often. I love it paired with this skirt. It's a little unexpected but it totally works.

As I said, I'm channeling my inner bohemian princess with this look and I'm serving it up proper. Totally not my intention, but I love it nonetheless. What takes it over the top for me is my hair. I'm sporting a braided updo, which is such a cute but different way to get your hair out of your face for summer.

I wore jeweled sandals to add a little bling and girliness to the look. I kind of needed that.

My jewelry here is a mixture of all the colors in this look. There's black, white, and taupe. I personally don't have a problem mixing those colors and putting them all on my wrist. I'm all about the more is more concept. Well, when it comes to jewelry that is.

Thanks for reading my blog. It really means a lot!

What I'm wearing:
T-shirt from WalMart
skirt and shoes from a local boutique

for the love of denim...

Hello and welcome back to my blog. Before I get started I have to apologize for the ranting, raving, and lots of rambling that's about to go on. This post might be a little long, but trust me, there's a reason for this. This is by far my most favorite look ever. I'm obsessed with how it came out. I also love the pictures. Ahh, I can't wait to get into the details.

Okay, I was never a fan of the whole denim on denim thing. I have to be honest, I kind of thought it was ugly. I swore I wouldn't be caught dead sporting that look. Never in a million years. Well, now I feel like a big ol' liar. Not only did I wear it, but I fell in love with it. And I'm proud to say that I will probably wear it again. So that morning when I was getting dressed, I was lost. Nothing in my closet was really speaking to me. It was one of those days. I'm pretty sure you've had them too. When those days come for me, I always reach for my denim shirt. I wear the heck out of that thing. It pretty much goes with everything and I can never go wrong when I'm wearing it. So I pulled it out. Then I realized I was tired of styling it the same way. I wanted to try something new. That's when I saw some denim shorts that I almost never wear. I actually don't ever remember wearing them. Immediately a light bulb went off in my head and I knew I wanted to pair the two together. I was a little skeptical, me hating the denim on denim trend, so I asked my sister how it looked. She loved it so of course I had to wear it. My hate for the denim on denim thing went out the window. I was officially converted. I fell completely head over heels in love and the rest as they say is history.

One of the things that I love most about this look are the accessories. I'm loving the pink and turquoise. It just looks so good to me. The turquoise bracelets were all made by me and they are giving so much life to this look. The bright pink purse is giving equal parts life as well. The combination is incredible. Obsessed with it. I topped off the look with a high bun and added silver sandals.

My love for this look goes beyond words. I love the way everything came out and I'm excited to do more denim on denim looks in the future. I'm now a believer.
P.S. Me posing on a fence is kind of amazing. I must say that I'm loving that fence.

Thanks for reading. Until next time...
